Meet Our Pastor
Antwoyn Mells is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is the youngest son in a family of eight siblings. Carlita Mells is a native of Hyattsville, Maryland. She is the youngest daughter in a family of two girls.

He is the product of the Pinellas County School system graduating in 1982 from Gibbs Senior High School. She is the product of Christian Education, graduating in 1987 from Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Academy. After graduating he went to Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama and she went to Columbia Union College (CUC) in Takoma Park, Maryland. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Theology she received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology.
While at Oakwood he served as the President of the Southeastern Conference Student Association, the Early morning Prayer service director, the United Student Movement Religious-Vice President and the United Student Movement President. While at CUC she sang with the Pro-Musica choir and played volleyball. The Pro-Musica choir traveled extensively and on one occasion toured Europe.
After graduation he returned to St. Petersburg and was hired as the Bible Associate for the Elim Seventh-day Adventist Church. Then in 1987 he was extended an invitation to join the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventist and was assigned to be the associate pastor for the West Palm Beach/Riviera Beach, Florida district.
After her graduation from CUC, Mrs. Mells continued her educational pursuit and attended Bowie State University where she received her Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling.
Then in 1988, Pastor Mells was sent to Andrews Theological Seminary where he received his Master’s of Divinity degree. While at Andrews he served as the President of the Black Student’s Association of the Seminary.
Since graduating from the seminary Pastor Mells has pastured in Lake City, Live Oak, Lakeland, Plant City, Ocala, Leesburg, and Citra all in Florida. Since her graduation Mrs. Mells has served as a guidance counselor in Jacksonville and Ocala, Florida.
In 2001 Pastor Mells and Mrs. Mells met, fell in love and married on June 16, 2002.
